Pakistan High Commissioner highlights mangoes as symbols of national pride


ISLAMABAD, Jul 25 (APP): Pakistani High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Dr. Faisal stated on Thursday that Pakistani mangoes had exemplified the country’s rich agricultural heritage and pride, reflecting its vibrant and flavorful essence.

According to the High Commission’s official X account, speaking on the occasion, the high commissioner pointed out that Mango Mania in the United Kingdom marked the beginning of Pakistan’s renowned mango season.

The event was inaugurated by Lord Wajid Khan, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government and Afzal Khan MP, Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Pakistan-Britain Trade & Tourism.

The event was attended by a significant number of British friends of Pakistan, diplomats, prominent figures from the Pakistani diaspora, and media representatives.

The guests were served with a variety of fresh Pakistani mangoes and mango delicacies including mango shakes, custards, trifles, pastries and cakes.
