ISLAMABAD, Oct 27 (APP): Chairperson Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid on Sunday said Pakistan Peoples Party will continue to provide moral, political, and diplomatic support for resolution to the Kashmir issue.
In a message on Kashmir Black Day, Senator Rubina Khalid said that the only acceptable solution to the Kashmir issue was a referendum under United Nations supervision.
She said, “The hearts of the Pakistani people beat with the Kashmiri people.”
Senator Rubina Khalid termed October 27, 1947 as the darkest day in Kashmir’s history when India occupied Jammu and Kashmir militarily.
“This day marks the beginning of Indian forces’ oppression”, she said
Senator Rubina Khalid said, India disregarded United Nations resolutions and stripped Kashmir of its right to self-determination.
“On August 5, 2019, India revoked Articles 370 and 35A which granted special status to Kashmir”, she said.
She also termed elections in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in 2024 as illegal actions by the Indian government.
